Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms By purchasing a ticket, entering the premises, or participating in any activities at Otterspool Adventure Ice Skating Rink, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not enter the rink or participate in any skating-related activities.

2. Assumption of Risk Ice skating involves inherent risks, including slips, trips, falls, and collisions. By skating at Otterspool Adventure, you accept these risks voluntarily.
Otterspool Adventure, its management, staff, and partners are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation, except where required by law.

3. Participant Requirements

• All skaters must wear skates provided by Otterspool Adventure or their own suitable ice skates.
• Skating in a reckless, unsafe, or aggressive manner is strictly prohibited.
• Children aged under 16 must be accompanied on the ice by a paying adult.
• Use of safety aids (e.g. skating penguins) is available for young children, subject to availability.
• Protective gear (helmets, gloves, etc.) is strongly recommended, especially for beginners and children.

4. Health & Safety

• Do not skate if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if you have a condition that may be worsened by physical activity.
• The rink may be temporarily closed or cleared for safety or maintenance at the discretion of staff.
• In the event of injury or incident, please alert a member of the Otterspool Adventure team immediately.

5. Ticketing & Refund Policy

• All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Tickets are valid for the date and time booked only.
• No refunds will be issued for missed sessions or late arrivals.
• In the event that Otterspool Adventure cancels a session (e.g. due to extreme weather or technical issues), an alternative session or credit may be offered at our discretion.

6. Skate & Equipment Hire

• Skates are included in the ticket price; early arrival is recommended.
• All hire equipment must be returned in good condition.
• Users are responsible for the care of hired equipment. Damaged or lost items may incur a charge.

7. Behaviour Policy

• Bullying, abusive language, physical aggression, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
• Visitors engaging in inappropriate conduct will be removed from the rink and may be banned from future entry.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for the conduct of their children at all times.

8. Clothing & Safety Advice

• Suitable warm clothing is recommended. Gloves and thick socks are advised.
• Long scarves, loose items, or hanging accessories should be avoided while skating.
• All skaters must follow the instructions of rink marshals and staff at all times.

9. Photography & Media

• By entering the rink, you grant permission for Otterspool Adventure to use any photos or video footage taken on site for promotional purposes.
• Personal photography is permitted, but tripods and flash are not allowed on or near the ice.

10. Lost Property

• Otterspool Adventure is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
• Any found items will be held in Lost Property for a maximum of 7 days before being donated or discarded.

11. Weather Policy

• The ice rink is outdoor and operates in most weather conditions, including light rain.
• In cases of extreme weather (e.g. high winds, heavy snow, storms), Otterspool Adventure reserves the right to suspend or cancel sessions for safety reasons.
• Updates will be communicated via our website and social media channels.

12. Changes to Terms Otterspool Adventure reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and at the entrance to the rink.

13. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of local courts.
