Why Otterspool is Liverpool’s Best Family Visitor Attraction

Why Otterspool is Liverpool’s Best Family Visitor Attraction

Here at Otterspool Adventure, our outdoor activities are unrivalled. Our aim is to keep the little ones entertained and give the adults a break!

Hours of Outdoor Fun

Where better to start than walking through our varied range of outdoor activities – the features that make us who we are! We have activities for kids of all ages, all of which are guaranteed to make them let loose, run around and allow the adults a few hours of rest time! Our play area is filled with a wide range of fantastic timber play equipment that kids are free to explore.

We have a tempting 12-hole adventure golf course for the entire family to enjoy, complete with a raft ride, woodland characters, a rocky tunnel and even a hobbit house! Then there’s the Racing Ranges, a driving activity where kids get the chance to race around our bumpy, rubbly racecourse in a shiny ranger!

A play centre wouldn’t be complete without some inflatable fun, and we do soft play really well, which is why our Bouncing Pillow is a firm favourite with our little visitors! Future racers can enjoy fast fun with our Mini Quad Racecourse, while wannabe builders can get some practice in on our Volvo Digger activity, where they can use the diggers to scoop, turn and tip on our mini construction site!

Parents are welcome to join in, of course – our Maze is a great way to get involved with the kids, and there may even be some hidden surprises along the way! All of our activities will keep little ones busy, but we do welcome parental supervision where necessary.

We also have several themed events throughout the year, including our Halloween Spectacular, Ottersghoul (stay tuned for details) and Magical Christmas Experience.

A Range of Delicious Refreshments

All of this running around makes for hungry little ones, and we have everything both for kids and for parents to refuel. Our café options include breakfast dishes, lunch favourites including paninis and pizza, hot beverages such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate and cold drinks including canned soft drinks, Capri Sun and slushies.

Of course, we had to include ice cream on our menu, and our Ice Cream Parlour is unsurprisingly very popular! Choose from honeycomb, raspberry ripple, toffee fudge, salted caramel, choc fudge cookie… you’ll be spoilt for choice!

Packages for Parties and Groups

For a guaranteed blast, there’s nowhere better for an outdoor party than at our Liverpool play centre! We have several party packages to suit a range of needs, including hot or cold food, access to outdoor activities, a party host and much more. We are also the ideal location for school trips or groups looking for a fun day out – we can work with you to provide a group option suitable for your requirements.

One of Liverpool’s Finest Locations

Otterspool Promenade is a Merseyside family favourite – with hundreds flocking there on a sunny day to enjoy the stunning views of the River Mersey. A more peaceful area of the city, free from the hustle and bustle of the centre, it’s no wonder this is a great place to take the little ones.

We Are Specialists in Leisure Facilities

We have the experience, knowledge and reputation for running successful leisure facilities, and we do so across the UK. You can trust in us – our illustrious awards such as ‘Best Family Day Out’ at the Liverpool Lifestyle Awards and Gold Winner ‘One to Watch’ award from the BALPPA (The British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers & Attractions) say so. Don’t just take our word for it – our Facebook, Google and TripAdvisor feature hundreds of reviews from happy customers!

So next time you’re looking for a great day out with the kids in Liverpool, come to Otterspool Adventure and you won’t be disappointed. We’re open all week long between 10am and 6pm, and with no online booking, you can simply turn up – it’s that easy!

Under 1s go free and prices for children and adults range from £4-£8. Prices vary in off-peak season. Head to our Prices page for more information. We look forward to welcoming you to Otterspool Adventure!

Our New Prices: Your Questions Answered

Our New Prices: Your Questions Answered

We recently introduced charges for Otterspool Adventure Centre, something we haven’t done before. We’ve received many questions around the new prices, existing passes and timings, so we’ve answered them for you below. We hope to welcome you back to Otterspool very soon!

  1. Why are you introducing a charge when it has previously been free to use the park?

We have invested several millions of pounds into redevelopment over the past 2 years, and we are only 50% of the way through. Unfortunately, the site cannot sustain its current free model while maintaining our high standards of quality activities and equipment.

2. What happens to our Play Passes that have remaining credit on the 24th May?

You can still gain access to the park and use the facilities as you have previously until the 31st August. However, you will not be given a wristband to have unlimited play. To use any of the attractions, you must use your play card. You can also redeem your remaining credits towards a daily pass or an annual pass with unlimited play. For example; if you have 30 credits remaining from a £50 Play Pass, you can redeem £30 towards either daily or annual passes.

3. Why charge for Adults?

Adults can use some of our attractions, such as the Otterspool Adventure Golf, quad bikes and the maze.

4. Why are Family Passes so expensive?

We have reviewed your comments on Family Passes and we’ve made adjustments. The initial Family Pass (1 adult, 1 child) will be £175. Additional Children will now be £100 and additional Adults will be £25. So, a family of 4 will be £300 instead of £350, as previously advertised. The likes of Safari Parks and Zoos work their passes on the average number of visits a customer makes (they assume 3 a year), which is a lot less frequent than a facility such as Otterspool Adventure, where customers tend to visit a couple of times a month.

5. Will Adults be charged when they enter with a child with a Play Pass?

No, not until the 31st. However, if you do not have a Play Pass, then you will be charged the daily rate.

6.  What if we haven’t used up our Play Passes by August 31st?

For unused credits on the 31st August, we will issue a refund (pro-rata of the original prices). For example; if you have 2 credits remaining on a £10/4 credits Play Pass, then we will refund you £5 on the 31st. Just come in and speak to a manager, who will be happy to reimburse you for your credits.

7. If you wish to enter the park just to use the ice cream parlour, do you have to pay?

The ice cream parlour is within the play area of Otterspool Adventure, and therefore is subject to payment. However, we do have an ice cream sales point in the café, which is free to enter. We also have an ice cream van at the front of Otterspool Adventure on warmer days.

8. Is entry for toddlers and babies free?

Entry for under-1s is free. Toddlers aged 1-2 years will now pay the same as the adult price. However, toddlers will not have access to Jeeps and golf.

9. How old must you be to pay Adult prices?

Adult prices are for visitors over the age of 13. However, their wristbands will not allow access to the Bouncing Pillow or the Jeeps.

10. What are the off and on peak times?

On peak times are all of Saturday and Sunday, bank holidays and school holidays. Off peak refers to Monday to Friday during term time.

11. What further developments is Otterspool going to make in the future?

Otterspool is currently 50% complete, so we have a lot of exciting plans for new attractions and activities. Keep checking our website for updates.

12. How do you compare to other local family attractions?

Soft Play: £6.50 average for 90 minutes.

Cinema: £13.50 Child Ticket.

Ferry Tour: £9.50 Child Ticket, £13.50 Adult Ticket for a 90-minute tour.
